From the Residency Program Director

Join us in inventing better care for women and their families, day by day

Welcome to the Residency Program of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at VCU Health! As program director, I, along with my colleagues, am here to empower you with knowledge, experience and confidence—so together we can invent better care for women and their families every day. We are the experts in providing care across the spectrum of obstetrics and gynecology sub-specialties. And we’re all dedicated to giving you the very best education, to prepare you in all ways to launch your own successful career.

As a member of our next cohort, you’ll be following a well-established tradition of excellence in obstetrical and gynecological education. You’ll join your own outstanding group of residents to learn, practice and contribute to this important and exciting specialty. You’ll discuss patient care issues in both formal and informal settings. And you’ll be a key, contributing player in both providing care to our patients and performing exciting research. You’ll also learn about the latest advancements in diagnosis, treatment and prevention through our outstanding variety of medical education opportunities.

Perhaps most important, you’ll work hand-in-hand with our ob-gyn faculty. And you’ll reap benefits daily from the mentoring of these dedicated instructors. We share your goals for building a solid foundation in obstetrical and gynecological care. And we have the tools and devotion to help you get there.

Interested in becoming a part of VCU Health’s next cohort of obstetrics and gynecology residents? Ready to find out how you can learn from and contribute to our program of excellence in patient care and research? Curious about the great quality of life here in Richmond?
