Interviews
We conduct resident interviews from November to early January. The Department of OB/GYN will conduct all interviews virtually. Because the number of interviews will be limited, we encourage you to complete the application process as early as possible.
Interview Day
Congratulations on being offered an interview at Virginia Commonwealth University! You should be incredibly proud of your many triumphs that have brought you to this point. We are looking for residents who will thrive in our learning environment and be truly happy here, so we encourage you to relax and be yourself throughout the interview process. We value your honesty during this process and look forward to helping you feel confident in your residency program selection.
Your Interview Day
Our interviews take place in the afternoon from approximately 1-4 PM eastern time.
| Welcome |
1:00-1:20 PM This is where you will initially meet with our Residency Coordinator and Program Director to get an overview of our program. |

One of these interviews will be with either Dr. Chelmow, Dr. Hylton or Dr. Pflugner (who serve as our Department Chair, Program Director and Associate Program Director, respectively) to give you an opportunity to get to know our program's leadership. There will be 5-minute breaks between each interview in addition to a single 20-minute break during the afternoon. |
